Aimée Singh
ABOUT ME
Aimée Singh is a fashion designer with German-Indian roots from near Berlin. At the age of 16, the designer started her 2-year training as a design assistant with a focus on fashion/design in Halle (Saale). After completing her training, she completed her technical qualification for design, after which she began her studies in Berlin in 2018. She completed her bachelor's degree in fashion design at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and doing actually her master's degree there. During her studies, the designer discovered and tried out many new techniques, which can be seen in her past projects.
The design signature of the young fashion designer is characterized by interculturality, futurism and avant-gardism. The designer grew up with two different cultures in central with the German culture and has been confronted with the topic of culture her whole life, which is why interculturality plays a central role in her concepts. The designer would like to draw attention to the problem of cultural appropriation by companies and ensure more visibility.
Individuality is very important to her and she likes to get inspired by other creative people and personalities. The designs get a unique look through their futuristic influence of geometrical forms, print designs and current trends and innovations.
VISION
It is important to find and use innovative sustainable solutions for the fashion industry in order to save resources, reduce the carbon footprint and optimize processes. That is why she focuses on "digital fashion design" and develops her designs in 3D software such as Clo3D, VStitcher etc. In future projects, the designer would like to work exclusively with sustainable, certified materials and used fabrics.
